The club holds friendly photo competitions every couple of weeks between September and June each year.

Friendly Competitions

Rules 2024-2025

• Only KVCC members may submit images to the "Friendly Competition".  A maximum of five images per member may be submitted for any given competition.

• Images must have been taken within 5 weeks of the competition's start-of-submissions date.  (No stripping or changing the EXIF data.)

• Any post-processing is permitted, as long as the image(s) was/were originally created in one of your cameras.

• Image sizes must be no larger than 2000 pixels wide for a landscape image, or 1100 pixels high for a portrait image.  Also, the maximum file size is 10 MB.  Please resize your images in consequence.

• Each image's filename must follow this template: 

Image Title_Submitter Name.jpg 

    Note that image files without a proper title and the maker's name will be discarded.

• Please use Capital Letters in the title.

• If you have trouble coming up with a title, ask a friend or relative to look at your image(s) and make a suggestion.

• Entries are to be submitted directly via our online form.  You will receive a confirmation when your image(s) is/are received. (If you do not get a confirmation within 2 days, please contact <kvccfriendlycomp@gmail.com>.)

Note that entries will be posted to a KVCC Facebook album for viewing. Club members will then be able to view the images and mark the images they feel are good with a "Like". At the end of the review period, the number of "Likes" for each image will determine the top 3 scoring images, which will then be posted as the winners.
